Top ten most popular University in Indonesia based on METRO TV.

the top ten most favourite University in Indonesia were taken from MetroTv.

  1. ITB Bandung => Institut Teknologi Bandung is the most favourite university which is elected by the most voters
  2. Universitas Indonesia => claimed to be the most advanced university in Indonesia.it has lots of Network as so many people graduated from UI.
  3. UGM => Universitas Gajah mada (UGM) is the oldest University (after the declaration of independence).it has 18 Fakulty (and 1 PascaSarjana).this university was the merger from others.
  4. Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November => built in 1957,ITS or Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember now specialized in the technology about boat and Information Technology.
  5. Universitas Padjajaran (Unpad) => I got no Information about this university and I'm sleepy atm. hehehe...
  6. Universitas Brawijaya => often called as UB / UNIBRAW, this university become really popular. really worth it.
  7. (missing) Well,Honestly I was sleepy and miss the number 7. could it be Unirow
  8. Kristen Petra => the Christian University which got popular and chosen by the voters.
  9. Universitas Gunadarma => I saw the advertisement about this university lots of time. basically, I don't really believe in the advertisement (because i think lots of 'the negative' things) but surely the advertisement about gunadharma means the university got lots of funds and trying to move forward. i think this is the worth university.
  10. UPI Bandung => the last university choose by the voters but of course it means this university still better than number eleven and others.hehehe....

just remember,I made this without getting any informations from the other sources and that means,I write this with my own skills and you should get the another source if you want to get the details in each university.

I really hope UNIROW is in the number 7.(just hope,.... don't ask me why.hehehe...)

btw, just got some advices from my lecturer and my fellow master in my lovely forum on how to spent free times learning English effectively. here are the advices:
Arick, you should Read Something fun. It needs to be so much fun that you will look forward to reading it every day. I knew you love to read short stories and novels really much. if you want to read a something,It does not have to be intellectual; it does not have to improve your knowledge of science or history. just Remember: you want to convince yourself that reading in English is fun and don't feel guilty about reading comics, magazines, detective stories, romances, etc. read,read and read a lots of books.
Arick, you should actively made some post in Forums and blogs. Forums, discussion groups and blogs are a unique source of written informal language,it will be your best chance to spent times learning English. Unlike other written sources, such as books or newspapers, they are very close to the way native speakers talk. forum and blogs are excellent source of input for English learners and i believe with your 'naughty' and aggressively motivation in learning English, it will help you build your English. Ideally, stick to forums for native speakers and remember that many native speakers make spelling mistakes because they are human like us too.
what will i say, well the advices were great and gave me more motivation in learning English.

the waterfall is great, but too bad, the water is gone.
Nglirip waterfall is one of the famous waterfall in east Java. this waterfall serves the irrigation for the farmers and producing electricity for the government.
lots of people,including tourism came from all around my country. the salesman next to me said if the people from the foreign country used to came here.well, this waterfall is the greatest in my town.
maybe I'll have a good luck next time.

Do you own W508? Yeah, maybe not…
A month ago, I was really interested to get W508. I began searching in the web for the info and already read many reviews (yups, many of them show me the negative things, but that’s what a review for..? ^_^).
Never mind, I know you were not interested in my story, so I decided to buy a W508 (white-silver) and a W395 (hello kitty edition) from the local store a week ago.
I was really frustating when my beloved W830i got broken. Actually not really broken, it just the flexible that give me the problem. It works 100% but the display just white,sometimes it gray lol. I know about flashing and checking the phone filesystem.(GDFS was fine and SEMC looks good).i using this phone as my modem right now.
Well,enough about it,so we talk again about the W508.
First time I got this phone, I was really excited and after a week I decided to discover the ways to unleash it power.

We do that by mod the phone.
(yes, it is possible to backup and mod the phone)
Before I start, you may have these question:
1. can we backup the phonebook,sms….?
- you can do that by using PCSUITE or MyPhoneExplorer (google it ^_^)
2. can we backup the file system?
- to backup the entire filesystem is really difficult but it is possible and only available for ‘brown’(backup here mean you got the accoustic.camdriver,etc).
- non brown can backup using the combination of codeclaw-File Extractor and A2UPLOADER (googling it)
- you can always convert your RED to BROWN.
3. what I can get by backup those file?
- you wanna mod it right? Use it to start mod your own phone.
- use it to revert your phone to the original condition
- those file is different coz it originally come from your handset and not from GENERIC FS.
4. what to mod and what I can get ?
- you can change accostic to get better sound.
- mod the camdriver to gain more benefit from your camera
- instal FLASH theme
5. how can I do that?
- it’s hard to explain it to you as I’m not an expert in it. To be honest, I just know nothing about it but I’ll share what I got.
6. so, how to…..
a. get necessary tools,what it used for ?
b get CodeClawFileExtractor and A2UPLOADER?
c. backup file ?
d. restore file ?
e. change accoustic ?
f. change camdriver ?
g. change other file ?



I assume you get the cable in the box
a. the necessary file to get are:
1. codeclaw fileExtractor. download DISINI credit goes to them
2. A2UPLOADER (gordongate included) ** download DISINI or google it thanks to ‘the_laser’
3. codeclaw WBXML EDITOR (optional) – get it from codeclaw website.
4. Codeclaw SWF info, themeCreator,….got it from the forum over the net.

This tutorial is only usable for RED version as Brown has already so many tutorial over the net.
1. backup the file system to get accoustic,camdriver,….
a. run codeclaw file extractor click ‘shortcut’ select file to backup and click ‘add’
b. do again to the file you want.
c. After finish,select ‘file’ – ‘save’ and save the file.(remember the file. ex, w508.bin)
d. Shutdown W508
e. Run A2Uploader press ‘…’ in MISC files,point to your last saved file(W508.bin),select it and click ‘FLASH’
f. wait until ‘hold c and insert usb cable’
g. Press ‘C’ on phone and connect it.
h. The phone will initializing and wait until it finish.
i. Unplug your phone
j. Restart your phone and the file you want will be in folder ‘CODECLAW’ in your phone. COPY it to your computer.(it save to delete it after you coies the file).
k. Done

I have very low internet speed and cannot explain with picture, you can get more explanation by surfing to SE-USER, TOPSONY, SE-NSE,ESATO and other sony ericson forum. (credit goes to them). Forgive my bad english as I’m INDONESIAN (my english really terrible).
I just wanna share with you. I have original W508 files. If any modder around the world need it, I’ll gladly give you the files.
- How about mod the accoustic driver….? You can read in the forum as I had less time,if I had time, I’ll share with you (just the basic lol,I know nothing about it). Believe me it easy if you understand but if you wanna get an advanced accoustic, the accoustic moder will give it to you.
- the camdriver…? Well, to be honest, I know nothing ‘bout it.really…maybe brazuka will mod it for you someday(hi.. brazuka^_^).

Almost forgot, this is used to upload file to phone (in an easy way):
1. run A2uploader.shutdown phone
2. press ‘filesystemtool’ wait until press ‘C’
3. plug the phone
4. browse the file and ‘drag and drop’ the file from windows explorer to your A2Uploader window.
5. press ‘shutdown ….’ In the bottom after you done.
6. unplug phone,restart it and finish.
Use that to upload flash file for theme and anything you want to upload to your phone.
For ‘directories list’ find in the forum or you can write it by yourself.
Usefut to use with Codeclaw to get the file from phone.
To get the directories along with ‘what file in it’,is the same as above, just write what file in what directories and write in notepad.you just need to BROWSE all DIRECTORIES and WRITE all the filename+extension of the file to the notepad.
(not all file you can get,figure it out by yourself as it wouldn’t hurt your phone ^_^)
last, thanks to all the sonyericson forum all over the net. To all modders and especially for the_laser,codeclaw team (joacim petterson), brother ‘JIGONX’,‘SUPERBONTO’ and everyone with the great tutorial in the net.
This tutorial is far from the complete and hope it useful.

in this article I describe some of the ways that journals can be used as teaching tools in the language classroom; in fact, the suggestions I make could be applied to the use of journals in teaching just about any subject. I begin by describing the concept of writing to learn, which is the theoretical foundation that journals are based on. After that, I give practical advice for using journals in the class- room. Next, I share my own advice and present feedback about journals from students at the American University of Bulgaria. Finally, I end with specific suggestions for how journals might be used at different moments during a lesson.
Writing to learn
One way to begin is by thinking about the concept of writing to learn. But, rather than starting with a definition of the concept, I would like to start with a thought experiment. Suppose someone asked you to grab a piece of paper and jot down an answer to the question, “What things are important to you as a teacher?” What would you say? Perhaps you would write about the things you want your students to learn. Or maybe you would write about the sort of atmosphere you like to have in your classroom. Or perhaps you would write about the factors that led to your becoming a teacher.

If you had, in fact, grabbed a piece of paper and jotted down some information, you would have been doing a type of writing called writing to learn. Writing to learn is thinking as you write. And this thinking as you write is the kind of writing that happens when people keep journals.
Writing to learn is based on the assumption that students’ thoughts and understanding can grow and clarify through the process of writing. And growth in thought and under- standing can certainly happen in the foreign language classroom.

Writing to learn is usually contrasted with writing to communicate. Writing to communicate is the sort of graded writing that is typically assigned in classrooms. According to Young (1999), there are several key differences between writing to learn and writing to communicate: (1) writing to learn emphasizes discovery thinking, as opposed to critical thinking; (2) the emphasis is on developing ideas rather than revising, crafting, or clarifying; (3) the writing is designed to make sense primarily to the writer, rather than to a reader; (4) the audience is the self and trusted others, rather than a distant audience; (5) the language can be personal, rather than academic and formal; (6) the teacher plays the role of men- tor or coach rather than judge; and (7) forms include journals, blogs, and rough drafts rather than graded essays, reports, or business letters.
This list is one way to think about how writing to learn and writing to communicate differ. Another way to think about what writing to learn is has been illustrated by Casanave and Sosa (2008):
[A] second language student, bored by textbook exercises, longs to be challenged by something more interesting, which almost always means something more difficult and more interactive and almost always something outside the conventional school setting. … But if she is doing this in her L2, she must hold to a belief that may make her fearful at first—she must believe that she does not have to wait until her language is error-free in order to transform her experiences and complex thoughts into lines of words. The lines do not need to be long. The grammar does not need to be perfect. … She also needs to be convinced that there is a receptive audience consisting of other people who are interested in what she has to say. (92)
Advice about using journals
Having described what writing to learn is, I now offer advice about using journals in the classroom. Art Young is one of the world’s experts on the topic of journals. His advice is to integrate journals “into the fabric of a course” and “make regular, frequent use of them in class,” which will impress upon students “that journals are valuable, not just ‘busywork,’ because they are used daily as students and teacher build the knowledge of the course” (Young 1999, 18).
To add to Young’s advice, I offer seven suggestions:
1. Ask students to buy a notebook they can easily carry around with them. Inspiration for a journal entry might come to them at any time, and they are more likely to write in their journal outside of class if the journal is easy for them to carry around wherever they go.
2. The language of the journal could be English, but it could also be their first language (L1). Or it could be a mixture of both. For advanced students, it makes sense to have them use the target language. For beginners, a journal in their native language might be a place where they can express their feelings without having to worry about remembering difficult grammar or vocabulary.
3. Collect and read the journals on a regular basis—but do not correct. If you feel you should respond, then write about something you liked. Remember that “in a language class, in the end, everything boils down to the same question: Can you use language in ways that allow you to convey whatever your thoughts are? … Can you express something about yourself, your ideas, your curiosities, and questions?” (Casanave and Sosa 2007, 17; italics in the original).
4. Ask students to leave a blank page between entries for room to comment later. Class time could be devoted to having students read and reread entries and respond to what they have written. In my experience, students really enjoy having a chance to comment on their own growth and development in the journal.
5. Encourage students to write about a wide variety of topics, but the topics should always, at least in some way, connect with the class. In his book, Engaging Ideas, John Bean suggests that one way to begin class is to ask students to discuss a question that they wrote about the night before in their journals (Bean 1996). Such a question might be “What confused you about today’s reading or class?” Or “How does your personal experience relate to the material?” Another possibility is to ask students to write a poem about the course material. One of the simplest types of poems that students could write is haiku. A haiku is an imagistic poem with 17 syllables arranged in three serial lines of 5–7–5. Imagistic means using concrete words like spider, egg, ice cream, or pencil to convey a general or universal feeling, idea, or concept such as beauty, justice, or language learning. Writing haiku is not difficult to learn, and it offers students an opportunity to creatively respond to what they are learning.

In this year, the Indonesian have so many movies to watch in the cinema, the prospect of the local movies were estimated about the same as the foreign movies. the movies give so many contributions to the country but some people said if the movies only give the Bad effects to the people whom watch it. why they believe the movies just gave the them bad effects? well, all of us really understand about this and we already knew if the movies contain so many adult scenes in it. the director said it is fine to show the adult scene as it is the part of the art, while the actor/actress said they feel free to do what they want and they done it as the part of the Professionalism. we may have the different opinion but it wouldn’t change the fact if the movies were already heading into the cinema, so here are the Top ten latest Local movies (with random order) :

jinx  JINX (Pembawa Sial or people with bad luck) the movie told us about Shanti (Aurellie Moeremans) who want to suicide because of desperate  but the attempts to suicide were never success, she always failed to suicide and that bring lots of problem to the people around her because the other people will need to take care of her all the time.many people starting to believe if she only give trouble for the people around her.many people from the Hotel’s Security until big boss mafia got the trouble after meet her. even the people who just meet her in the street got the bad luck because of her, well at least that is what they think.the bad lucks differs from the others, some of them was robed, tricked and even got killed.

this movie was played by so many stars. some of them would be Ringgo Agus Rahman and the others best actors/actress like Vincent Rompies, Wiwid Gunawan, Ira Wibowo, Kadir, Doyok, Harry De Fretes, Hengky Solaiman and Boneng…
Ngebut Kawin is not really great movie. the title itself have been told us if the story is about a someone who want to get married earlier because of a something that force to married earlier.
UPDATED: as for now, NGEBUT KAWIN was already outdated and will not going to be discussed anymore.

WHY COmPETENcY-BASED LEARNING?
The interest in performance-based learning stemming from specific knOWLEDGE,abilities,and skills as representeD in the forms of coMPETENCies is accelerating throughout the world. There are at least three fundamental reasons why competency-based initiatives are vital. First, specific assessments of the course and program. Secondly, specific competencies assist teachers and students to prossess a common understanding on the specific skills,knowledge,and abilities they have to acquire as a result of their learning experience. Thirdly, specific competencies provide directions for designing teaching materials and learning experience and assignments which can help learners gain practice in using and implementing the competencies they have acquired.

Teater INSTITUT Tuban atau yang sering disapa dengan TI UNIROW merupakan salah satu komponen dari Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa yang merupakan suatu wadah organisasi sebagai wahana untuk menampung dan mengembangkan minat, bakat dan kegemaran dibidang teater pada khususnya dan bidang seni pada umumnya di Civitas Akademika.
Komunitas ini didirikan oleh sekelompok mahasiswa yang berdedikasi tinggi dalam hal teater, saat itu tepat pada tanggal 27 April 1999 yang konon diresmikan sebagai hari lahir Komunitas Teater INSTITUT.
Teater yaitu kelompok kesenian yang mengacu kepada pengembangan seni bagi anggotanya yang bernotabene adalah seniman, pecinta atau penikmat seni yang ada pada diri masing-masing anggota dapat terbina.

RACHEL CORRIE
corrie  meninggal setelah dengan gagah berani menentang israel seorang diri.
Corrie terbunuh dengan tragis setelah dengan gagah berani menghalangi Bulldozer israel yang hendak membongkar paksa perumahan di palestina..
Rachel corrie dengan penuh keberanian berdiri di depan perumahan yang hendak dihancurkan oleh buldozer besar IDF (Israel Defence Force). kerasnya pendirian rachel tidak membuat israel mundur. israel memutuskan untuk tetap mengeksekusi perumahan meski harus membunuh rachel yang menjadi tameng hidup bagi warga palestina.
peringatan terakhir diberikan dan Corrie tetap tak berubah pendirian meski para rekannya mundur dari medan 'perang'...
dengan berdo'a dan penuh keyakinan, corrie tetap tak mundur sedikitpun. tak berapa lama israel memutuskan menjalankan buldozer tersebut....
sungguh keberanian yang luar biasa...

UNIT KEGIATAN MAHASISWA BIDANG OLAH RAGA (BIORA) TUBAN
Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Bidang Olah Raga (UKM BIORA) adalah salah satu UKM yang ada di lingkup Universitas PGRI Ronggolawe Tuban yang bergerak di bidang Olah Raga. Organisasi ini didirikan pada tanggal 11 Oktober 2001 dan selanjutnya diubah dengan nama UKM BIORA pada tanggal 6 Pebruari 2005.
bioraq Organisasi ini memiliki lambang bergambar api abadi, pena dan lima cincin yang saling berkaitan dan yang paling atas terdapat sebuah bintang. Dengan Anggota yang selalu bertambah setiap tahunnya, BIORA berusaha secara bertahap berusaha meningkatkan prestasinya sebaik mungkin. Dengan semangat yang selalu menyala, tak ada yang tak mungkin bagi BIORA.

VISI
BIORA memiliki visi untuk Mengembangkan minat, bakat dan kegemaran di bidang Olah Raga. Dengan melihat animo mahasiswa yang besar terhadap olahraga, BIORA mengorganisir para mahasiswa yang berminat untuk bergabung dengan mengembangkan skill dan cara bermain dalam olahraga yang kemudian dipersiapkan untuk bertanding dengan membawa nama organisasi dan Universitas tercinta.
MISI
Adapun misi dari organisasi ini adalah sebagai wahana pengembangan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler khususnya minat, bakat dan kegemaran dibidang Olah Raga di tingkat Universitas. Dengan pengembangan dan latihan yang bertahap, diharapkan nantinya BIORA akan mampu meningkatkan potensinya secara pasti.
